Omega Pacific are specialist karabiner manufacturers from Washington state in USA. Each Omega karabiner is manufactured from high quality aircraft specification alloys. Samples from each production lot are destruction tested to ensure structural integrity. Each karabiner is hand inspected 5 times to ensure proper functioning and smooth gate action. All karabiners are designed to open under body weight and are proof tested to half their rated strength. The small indentations on the inside radii are evidence of this testing and Omega's stringent quality control procedures.

Quick Lock karabiners: A Clever Idea - But a Note of Caution
Quicklocks are a relatively recent concept in karabiner closure. The spring activated gate is designed to close automatically when you let go. Although they can be very useful when used correctly, they are not a substitute for checking that the karabiner is closed. It should be remembered that any device designed to close automatically, may not work as intended under unusual circumstances. These karabiners are not recommended for use in extremely dirty conditions.

Features a keylock and the ball must be depressed and twisted to open the gate. Auto locking - the final lock position does not require manual intervention. In addition because the sleeve is nylon there is very little opportunity for it too become caught in the way that karabiners with knurled metal sleeves can. Each karabiner is individually tested.
