ARBORMASTER Porta Wrap Light Duty The Portawrap is a lowering device commonly used in the tree industry but can also be used for many load-lowering applications. It is a friction device that allows you to control the descent rate of a given load. The Portawrap can be rigged and operated at height or from the ground and is generally connected to the anchor point using a sling and shackle. The Portawrap can be used in association with a separate hauling system that connects to the top of the Portawrap. The small Portawrap is designed for 12mm - 14mm diameter rigging rope and the large Portawrap is designed for 16mm - 19mm diameter rigging rope. The Portawrap works best with ropes of a braided construction.
