This one day course meets the minimum requirements for working in a confined space or working as a standby person during confined space entry.
This course is for people who need to enter a confined space where another party will issue the confined space entry permit. This course does not provide competency in the issue of confined space permits. Select the confined space permit issuer course (T855,CSPI,100) for this competency.
Topics include the following:
 Confined spaces hazards.
Assessment and control procedures.
Emergency procedures.
Selection, use and maintenance of safety equipment.
Legislative requirements.
Duration: 8 hours over one day.
Prerequisites: NA.
Training Ratio: 1 trainer to 12 participants.

THS Confined Space Permit Issuer Group Booking $1980.00
This one day course provides successful participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to competently issue a confined space entry permit. It builds on the knowledge and skills acquired during a base level confined space course such as the THS Confined Space Entry Course.
Topics include the following:
Confined space risk assessment;
Operation of portable gas detectors;
Ventilation and purging;
Access and retrieval systems; and
Rescue planning.
Duration: 8 hours over one day
Prerequisites:
Confined Space Entry course (T855,CSRM100); or the equivalent qualification. Participants are required to provide written evidence of their prior learning before the booking can be processed.
Training ratio: Participant Ratio 1:12.
Minimum class size: 6.
Maximum class size: 12.
Certification: A statement of attainment will be issued to the successful participants in the following nationally recognised units:
MSAPMPER300B Issue work permits; and
PMAOMIR217A Gas-test atmosphere

This two day course is for personnel who have need to both enter a confined space AND issue confined space entry permits.
The Confined Space Contractor Course is the combination of both the Confined Space Entry and Confined Space Permit Issuer courses.
Duration: 16 hours over two consecutive days.
Prerequisites: NA
Training Ratio: 1 trainer to 12 participants.
Minimum class size: Six
Maximum class size: Twelve
