Industrial Rope Access Training


Total Height Safety is a national provider of training in all aspects of height, safety and rescue including theatre, mining, construction, defence, arboriculture, telecommunications and power authorities. THS trainers have extensive experience in the field, are highly qualified, dedicated to providing relevant and site specific training of the highest quality and are committed to workplace safety and training. THS training is closely aligned to all the relevant Codes of Practice and Australian standards. THS is a Registered Training Organisation (91022). THS has a fully equipped training centre facility, including a seminar room and training apparatus. On-site instruction is also available.

THS Rope Access L1 Course
THS Industrial Rope Access Level 1 Course      $1320.00
The level one rope access operator's course is designed to teach the fundamentals of suspended vertical movement and rescue procedures. It is also the minimum requirement for persons interested in working in the rope access industry. The training is aligned to Australian Standard 4488 and industry codes of practice.
This four day course includes topics such as:
Industry standards, codes and guidelines.
Rigging anchor and rope access systems.
Equipment selection, inspection and maintenance.
System configuration and operation.
Vertical mobility and rescue procedures.
Prerequisites: Height Safety qualification for persons with no prior harness based industrial height safety training/experience.
Certification: National Accreditation issued by Australian Rope Access Association.
Instructor to Student ratio: 1:4
Minimum class size: Four.
Maximum class size: Eight.

THS Rope Access L2 Course
THS Industrial Rope Access Level 2 Course      $1485.00
The level two operator's course has a focus on suspended horizontal movement and advanced rescue procedures. This qualification also allows persons to plan and supervise a rope access worksite. This comprehensive and technical course is highly practical and can be physically demanding.
This four day course includes topics such as:
Implement and document risk management procedures.
Worksite planning and organisation.
Assemble and operate hauling and lowering systems.
Horizontal movement and aid climbing.
Plan and implement advanced rescues.
Prerequisites: Include the level one operators course and documented evidence on the job experience equivalent to 500 rope hours. Participants are also required to hold a current Senior First Aid Qualification.
Certification: National accreditation is issued by the Australian Rope Access Association.
Minimum class size: Four.
Maximum class size: Eight.

THS Industrial Rope Access Level 3 Course      $1650.00
Description: Level 3 Industrial Rope Operator's course
Topics:
Advanced Rope Access mobility skills and casualty recovery.
Selection, inspection and maintenance of Rope Access PPE.
Advanced Rigging and anchor point selection.
Legislation and advanced rope access concepts.
Duration: 5 days
Prerequisites: Level 2 Industrial Rope Access course and 500 logged on rope hours.
Certification: National Certification issued.
Recommended Refresher: Every 3 years.
Assessment method: Theory and practical.
Instructor-student ratio: 1:4
Minimum class size: Four.
Maximum class size: Eight.

THS Rope Access Refresher
THS Industrial Rope Access Level 1 Refresher      $275.00

Title: Level one industrial rope access refresher course.
Description: The refresher course is highly reccomended prior to the 3 yearly re-assessment.
Topics:
Vertical mobility.
Knots and their use in anchor systems for rope access.
Selection and pre-work safety checks for personal protective equipment.
Risk identification relevant to rope access work.
Performing self rescue and rescuing a fellow worker from descent.
Duration: 8 hours over 1 day.
Prerequisites: Level one industrial rope access accreditation.
Verification: Nationally recognised.
Recommended refresher: Every 3 years.
Assessment method: Assessment charged separately.
Instructor to student ratio: 1 trainer to 8 participants.
Minimum class size: Four.
Maximum class Size: Eight.

THS Rope Access Refresher
THS Industrial Rope Access Level 2 Refresher      $275.00
A refresher day is recommended for all persons attending a re - assessment or an assessment for prior learning.
It is run the day before the assessment and generally during a normal course structure.
It is also for persons who just want to increase their experience while under some supervision.
We do not supply equipment or documentation for refresher participants.
If required by the participant AS/NZS4488 can be purchased when attending THS rope access refresher or assessment courses.
